Reno, NV to Wells, NV: 350 miles
If Ireland has its forty shades of green then northern Nevada has its forty shades of brown. Our route today took us on I80 the whole day. Northern Nevada, even though it is brown and barren has a beauty all of its own.
Since we did run all interstate today, we did not have the chance to take too many pictures. We did snap this one early in the morning. Riding towards the sunrise through the desert was a very cool experience. Here is a pic looking east:
Since we didn't get too many pictures, we decided to show you a side of the trip that we haven't talked about too much. Most of our trip has us sitting on our motorcycles. While riding for so many miles, one needs to stretch every once and a while. Here is Doug and how he stretches while rolling down the road:
If we aren't riding or sightseeing then we are spending time at a gas station. Here is Gumby filling up Doug's bike in rural north-central Nevada:
It has become routine for us after filling the bikes up with gas that we fill ourselves up with coffee. For almost every tank of petrol that we get, 16 ounces of hot java are put into our system. Here is Shawn enjoying a coffee in Winnemuck:
Tomorrow we are off through Utah and back into Idaho. We will be stopping at BMW of Salt Lake to pick up a filter and some oil for Doug. We plan on changing oil later on down the line.
